I took a listening & speaking class with Soriya. Each session is 1 hour and 30 mins long for $45. Considering the materials, books, and notes she provided, it's not expensive at all. I walked away with at least 6-7 pages of notes per meeting. I have been studying with Soriya for 4 months and I have to say, she is very proficient and efficient at her job. Soriya(Ya-ya who is at Mckinney Collin College Campus) is one of the best tutors I have had since enrolling back in college. She is attentive, open-minded, and encouraging. She helps me with understanding academic writing and in assisting correction of my mistakes in my writing without being overbearing and is very patient and again encouraging, something that can lack with some teachers and tutors. I understand not everyone can be helpful when it comes to losing focus, but with Ya-ya she is calm and collective, (obviously very much appreciated on my part) She is also definitely my go-to when I am at the Central Collin campus. This is definitely like the new generation to tutoring! It doesn’t matter where you are, and you can get the help/tutor you need even if it’s across a few states. My cousin needed a temporary tutor for one of her Summer English classes and my friend recommended Soriya. Soriya is very nice, friendly, and patient. Since my cousin is from California and Soriya is in Texas, Soriya worked her way to accommodate a schedule that worked best for us despite the different time zone. Soriya tutored my cousin via Zoom and it went very well. Nowadays, especially during this pandemic, it is hard to find an in-person tutor. At first, I wasn’t so sure if it would work out well virtually, but it did.
